Kutki (also known as Samai in Tamil, Saame in Kannada, and Kutki in Hindi) is increasingly recognized as a climate-smart grain. It requires minimal irrigation and thrives in marginal soils - making it one of the most sustainable cereals cultivated in India.
Its lower glycemic response compared to refined wheat-based noodles makes it a preferred choice among health-conscious families.
✔ Parents seeking healthier alternatives to instant noodles
✔ Millet-conscious consumers
✔ Organic food enthusiasts
✔ Those transitioning away from refined flour products
✔ Anyone wanting comfort food without compromise
Unlike refined-flour instant noodles (e.g., standard 75g Maggi packs that use about 200 mL of water), our 175g Organic Kutki (Little Millet) Noodles are made with high-fiber ancient grains.
Because Kutki (Little Millet) and Khapli Wheat absorb significantly more water during cooking, you’ll need about 700 mL of boiling water to properly soften the noodles and achieve a satisfying texture. This is roughly 1.75× the water volume used for a typical refined rice- or wheat-based instant noodle pack - an important step to unlock the best taste and mouthfeel.
Millets were once called “coarse grains.” Today, they are recognized globally as nutri-cereals and were celebrated in the International Year of Millets (2023) by the United Nations - reaffirming India’s traditional food wisdom 🌾.
