Tarawadi is an ancient Basmati that is considered to be native of Yamuna floodplains. It is known to be the best rice variety in the world due to its aroma, nutrition and easy digestion. We shell Tarawadi in a basic mechanical sheller and it is not parboiled making it very close to hand-pounded rice. The glycemic index of Tarawadi is less than 45 and thus, it is amongst the few varieties of rice that is diabetic-friendly.
