Anaar Pomegranate

Anaar Pomegranate

Organic Bhagwa Pomegranate or Anaar from orchards of four marginal farmers from same village in Sangli, Maharashtra. A large lake forms the centre of each orchard which is used to harvest rain water. This rain water is used across the year by our farmers through drip system to irrigate their crop. It is said the soil of this village is most optimum for growing pomegranates and these pomegrantes would be much tastier than same variant grown in Solapur or Nasik. Known for dark red colored soft seeds and flavorful sweetness, Bhagwa variant of pomegranates has been a revolutionary variety that has transformed the lives of farmers across Maharashtra turning many of them into exporters.

  • Care Instructions

Bhagwa are known for their long shelf life and can last for more than a week at room temperature if stored right. Refrigerate them and we are confident you can enjoy the same batch for 2-3 weeks. Even if the peel loses shine, most seeds within remain intact.

Pro-tip: During winters, store pomegranates in an airtight container at room temperature. You'll elongate the shiny period of the peel too.
