This wild forest honey comes from Babool or Kikker jungles, the natural forest vegetation, near Rampura Phul in Punjab. It is collected by local villagers from large natural beehives made in the forest areas or beeharh as called in local parlance. It has a refreshing taste and less thickness as compared to usual honey. The bees are large bees called Apis Dorsata, an Indian species most common in India forests with a capacity to produce almost 35 kg of honey in a beehive annually. The honey is unpasteurized, untreated and unrefined.
