Saabut Urad Black Lentils. At 25% protein, Urad is the richest amongst all pulses in terms of protein. It is also a rich souce of Vitamin Bs and is full of iron, folic acid, calcium, magnesium and potassium making it perfect food for pregnant women. Too high consumption of Urad can lead to high Uric Acid and thus, it should be consumed in moderation.
